Privacy Policy

ARCHV ("we," "our," or "the app") is a privacy-first content bookmarking app for iOS. We built ARCHV with a simple principle: your data belongs to you.

1. Data We Collect

We collect nothing. ARCHV does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. All data stays on your device.

• Saved URLs & Metadata: Stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. Never sent to our servers.
• Thumbnails & Cached Images: Fetched from public URLs (e.g., YouTube, TikTok) and cached locally on your device. We do not proxy these requests.
• Transcripts: YouTube captions are fetched from YouTube's public API. Live microphone transcription uses Apple's on-device Speech framework — audio is processed locally and never leaves your device.
• Microphone Audio: When you use the live transcription feature, microphone audio is processed in real-time by Apple's Speech framework on your device. We do not record, store, or transmit audio.

2. Data Storage

All saved items, collections, tags, preferences, and cached data are stored exclusively on your device. If you enable iCloud Sync (Pro feature), data syncs via Apple's CloudKit infrastructure under your personal iCloud account — we have no access to it.

3. Third-Party Services

• Apple StoreKit: Manages in-app purchases and subscriptions. Apple's privacy policy governs transaction data.
• Platform Embeds: When you view embedded content (YouTube, TikTok, etc.), the respective platform's servers deliver that content. Their privacy policies apply to that interaction.
• oEmbed / Open Graph: We fetch publicly available metadata (titles, thumbnails) from URLs you save. This is equivalent to your browser loading a webpage.

We do not use analytics SDKs, advertising networks, crash reporting services, or any tracking tools.

4. No Account Required

ARCHV does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information. There is no login, no email collection, no phone number — nothing.

5. In-App Purchases

ARCHV Pro subscriptions and lifetime purchases are handled entirely by Apple's App Store. We do not process payments or have access to your payment information.

6. Children's Privacy

ARCHV does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app does not require any personal information to function.

7. Data Deletion

You can delete all your data at any time from Settings → Delete All Data. This permanently removes all saved items, collections, tags, and cached content from your device. Since we don't store your data externally, there is nothing else to delete.

8. Changes to This Policy

If we update this policy, we will post the revised version here with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
